(FAQ)
Making:
Back in 2021, I envisioned MAGU from my bedroom. In 2022, I launched my brand sitting on my bed. To this day, I still work with clay from my home studio space. Creative and curious as I am, I’m always shifting materials and techniques. My approach is intentional and therapeutic — you’ll hear me use the verb play a lot. Every piece is small batch, one-of-a-kind, and proudly crafted in Portugal.
Customs:
Every once in a while, I accept custom orders. Everything I make is one-of-a-kind (literally), but custom-made pieces elevate uniqueness to a new level. If you feel the calling to have a ceramic object tailored for you, reach out! Contact me preferably by email with what you have in mind, and we’ll chat from then on.
Once I accept your order, I’ll keep you updated throughout the making process. Please be patient as it could take me up to a month to finish your piece. Pinky promise it’s worth the wait.
It’s up to me to accept or decline an order. I have limited resources, as well as personal style preferences. If you’re familiar with my work and it resonates with you, I’m sure I’ll meet your vision.
Payment:
Credit and debit card payments are available online. If you wish to pay with MBWay, contact me directly to order. Paying in cash is only possible if you pick hand delivery (find out how below).
Shipping:
I’m based in Portugal and currently shipping to European Union countries. Both mail and hand delivery are available.
For mail delivery, it takes me up to 5 days to send your package. You’ll be updated when I do. Shipping costs are added to the final price.
Hand delivery may take longer, depending on mine and your availability. I place deliveries in Mafra and some areas of Lisboa. Choose this option on checkout, then wait for an email from me. This way, shipping is free and I get to meet you, so it’s a win-win.
Care:
All pieces are glazed and food-safe. They’re not recommended for dishwasher or microwave (unless specified otherwise).
Kiln:
Struggling to find a reliable place to fire ceramics? I’m familiar with the feeling. When I bought my kiln, I thought of giving back to the ceramics community and making it your kiln, too. Learn more about kiln services here.
